My husband has been a rock throughout my recent disability, doing the cooking and laundry in addition to general nurse-maid duties. I'm not going to trade him in on a new model any time soon!
I have to ask, though, how many husbands would go above and beyond to this extent?
There he was several years ago digging through the fat quarter canoe at Lolly's in Shipshewana, Indiana, looking for yellow FQs!
As I've said before, I married a gem.
That is a great photo of your DH! He definitely is a gem. I'm thankful for a partner like that, too - we take care of each other, whatever is needed!
ReplyDeletethat is so good. Sure hope you get to feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteAwww what a sweet tribute to a lovely man! I'm so glad you have someone like that and hope you are fully recovered soon.
ReplyDeleteI have to say mine is also a gem. He loves having a "task" in those stores he dreads going into (Hobby Lobby, quilt shops, Joann's) and will find what I need in record time - lol!
Yes, you did! My husband will go into quilt stores with me and help me look for what I need. One winter when we were in Florida, I was looking for cheddar fabrics for a particular project. He found the batik room and I had to explain to him what a batik was lol. He is a fisherman and understands all about color and hue and is very supportive of my hobby.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a keeper there. The in sickness thing is no joke and not all spouses handle it well. I think we both were very smart cookies to snag our great guys.
