I didn't have time to get a picture of the finished product as I was stuffing it into the gift bag at the last minute. The pattern is Bonnie Hunter's "Startstruck". My LAQ used the pantograph Star Dance in a khaki tan that really shows up against the red border.

Congratulations!!!! And that's a wonderful quilt to present to that bright young man :) I just love the glow that results from the combination of that design with your colors!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I didn't really like the quilt until I added the borders. It's one of those quilts that switches on you -- first you see the light stars, then you see the dark ones ....
DeleteWow, you should be proud!
ReplyDeleteI am, indeed!
DeleteCongrats to your grand son! Great quilt! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katy. If I'd been thinking ahead, I would have used school colors, but at least these are "manly" colors. Can't wait to get his reaction.
DeleteSuch a lovely quilt - ideal colours and design for a young man. What a wonderful way to mark his graduation - I'm sure he will treasure it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I've heard from his mother that it was a hit.
