OK, I Give!

I can't resist.

The first clue of Bonnie Hunter's new mystery has been revealed.  I know I said I wasn't going to do it.  BUT I want to make a new quilt for Son-2 and DIL and I thought this would be a good one for them.

I don't want to use the same colors, and I probably won't be as scrappy as Bonnie.  So I asked DIL to pick some colors that would go with black, white, and yellow.  She chose slate gray, pale lavender, and spring green.  I am going to use lavender in place of aqua and the gray in place of pink.  She said they wanted to redecorate their bedroom and would go by whatever colors were in the quilt.

I'm hoping to take most from my stash, but I may have to fill in a few gaps.

We're having a great time -- good food, lots of games, football .....

More later.

  1. I'm 'playing' too, but didn't even get up until 10:30 - haven't slept in THAT late in decades! Before I start though, I'm finishing the cutting up of a stack of scraps that was set aside for far too long...almost done, then I can get my mystery quilt started. Glad you're playing along as well and look forward to seeing how your colors work in it. I'm sticking with Bonnie's colors this year.

    1. Glad to hear you are enjoying your time at home. I'm going to take my time on the mystery -- too many other things to work on right before Christmas.

    1. BH's colors are right up your alley and I'm sure you can do it all from your stash.

  3. I can't wait to see your colorway! I've always wanted to do a BH mystery...the timing is bad for me in December. And...way too many pieces. I always save all the steps for everyone of her mysteries. Maybe when I retire the time will be right!

  4. I'm looking forward to seeing your colors. I'm still resisting, sort of; I looked at some fabrics in my stash to see if they'd work. Right now I'm just printing the clues for maybe next summer when I'll have more time. Sharon B in Franklin
