Blogger Issues

Is anyone else out there upset with the recent format changes in Blogger?

At my age I'm doing well to keep up with technology.  Once I get comfortable with something, I don't adapt well to change.  I liked when I used to go to Blogger Dashboard that my reading list appeared.  Now I have to go in search for it.  It took me about 10 minutes Thursday morning to figure out how to start a new post!

Why are some of my older posts showing up as drafts, yet there are comments so I know they were posted?

And why is it trying to publish before I'm through composing???

Can someone steer me through the changes?  Or can someone recommend an alternate platform?

THANKS!

  1. I'm right there with you, Libby! I haven't tried to post yet, but it took me a while to find my reading list. I don't know why they can't leave well enough alone.

  2. I'm wondering what moron thought this new format was 'better'. It certainly isn't easier! XO

  3. I've been seeing people talking about the changes, but I haven't tried posting yet. I'm not a fan of sudden changes, either, especially when they don't ask.

  5. I was surprised to find the Blogger changes this morning, but was able to navigate them and create a new post. Here's hoping you sort it out soon!

  6. I hate change, so I'm not a fan of the new dashboard. Somehow, the blog post I wrote a draft of last night is just gone. I didn't put the wrong date, didn't accidentally publish it too soon...it's just not there.

  7. I think they are probably of the all change is good school of thought, but what a pity they don't ask us first, or give us the choice of opting out of improvements. I wonder about a different platform from time to time, but think migrating the whole blog sounds too complicated for me.

  8. I'm going to guess that they did mention the changes in their blog, which I don't follow as it's way too much computer geek for me. I don't like the changes either, but I'm sure they had to change some things in order to keep up with Apple and/or Microsoft platform changes.

  9. I'm stuck trying to figure out how to change the thumbnail photo that appears with "about me." I thought that when I changed the Google thumbnail photo that would automatically change on Blogger. It didn't.

  10. new and un-improved. And all of a sudden there are weird stats. Has blogger been taken over by martians? I never understood it totally but each change requires too many brain cells that could be used for art.
