RSC17 Update
Apparently I AM passionate for purple because I've hardly made a dent in my purple scraps!
What a mess! |
Scrap Jar Star |
At that rate, three 12" blocks x 10 months will make a very nice throw. I also chose another quilt in 101 Fabulous Rotary-Cut Quilts by Judy Hopkins and Nancy Martin that I think will help make a dent in my scraps. Here's the first block.
Half-square Nines |
I still have to put the borders on Zagnuts.
Zagnuts |
I also finished Trellis Garden, part of my One Monthly Goals.
Trellis Garden |
I'm joining others reporting in with Angela at So Scrappy.
well Done!
ReplyDeleteYou beat me by one Scrap Jar Star!! (And you managed a whole lot more PURPLE sewing.) Knocking out scraps AND your UFOs... way to go!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Trellis Garden finish. It looks wonderful.

You made great progress!

ReplyDeleteTrellis Garden is lovely! I like your star blocks, too. Sharon B in Franklin
ReplyDeleteYeah! Great purple work. Trellis garden is a lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! I made a slight dent in my purple scrap stash...one half of a shoebox sized tote. I'll keep the rest for embellishments here and there and if need be, use them in next year's RSC.
ReplyDeleteI love all your projects! So many wonderful purple fabrics! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe Jar Star blocks turned out beautifully! Congrats on all your purple progress. Trellis Garden is lovely. Congrats on the finish.
ReplyDeleteWow - loverly purples! Great Scrap Jar Stars - it will be fun seeing your blocks each month!
ReplyDeleteWow, you really had a purple-icious month! Congrats on all you got done. I love your concept for the scrap jar stars, and with 30 blocks with repeated colors you really will end up with a nice throw.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! you did great with purple!~
ReplyDeleteWell you really had a good time with purple! I love your blocks - those triangle nines are a great idea, and I love Scrap Jar Stars. (I'm planning to do that one for RSC, too, but I haven't gotten my January block put together yet...)
ReplyDeleteAnd two quilts, too? Go you!
Somehow I missed your post last week! So sorry I didn't get to it sooner. I think your Scrap Jar Stars are coming out great, but I also like the HST nine patch! That is a fun idea! Will that quilt have different kinds of blocks?
