RSC Green, that is
Do you ever stop to think about certain words? Take GREEN, for instance. Think about all the different ways we use that word.
Green with envy ...
Green around the gills ...
Going green ...
But, I digress.
Green is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for May, so I dug through my 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" bins to see what I had on hand for some Chunky Churn Dash blocks.
So many shades of green, from yellowish to bluish. I found enough candidates to make nine total CCDs. Here's the first two. I love these little fellas!
Angela at Soscrappy hosts a linky party every week for RSC participants. Check it out!
The folk-revival song "Green, green, it's green they say...." is now my morning earworm. CCDs are an easy, friendly scrap-user.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful spread of green in your two blocks...very expertly shown off against a field of red, I notice. Your chunky churn dash looks like its fun to make.
ReplyDeleteNice start to GREEN month for the RSC!!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget Greensleeves.
DeleteYou are off to a good start. Keep up the good work!
Amazing how different tnose greens are! I love the green polka dot especially. Have fun sewing up a few more CCD blocks!
ReplyDeleteThere really are "a thousand shades of green"... and I really like them all. Your chunky Churn Dash blocks are going to make a great scrap quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like a little digression. You found some cool fabrics.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blocks. There are so many shades of green. I've really been enjoying them in nature this week. All the rain has resulted in a profusion of foliage to enjoy.
