Oh, Happy Day!

My thyroid is just lumpy, no cancer,
and the blood work was normal, too!

Sew I have celebrated today by clearing off some surfaces in my sewing room and lining up projects for the month.

Since Angela had not yet posted the color for July, I pulled out a couple of old blue projects.  The first is Twinkle Stars (I think), a block quite a few folks were working on a couple of years ago.

Twinkle Stars
I had started these for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge in January 2016.  No longer in love with them, they'll go into the orphan box.

Then I got out a blue One Block Wonder.

One Block Wonder
It doesn't really sing as a OBW.  What about a good ole Stack 'n' Whack?  I considered a strippy set ...

... but that didn't excite me, either.  So I opted for stars.  Turns out I had enough fabric to make another set of blocks so it will turn out a nice throw size.  Check back later this week to see my progress.

  2. I'm so glad your thyroid is just lumpy. These scares help us to realize just how fortunate we are. Love the blues!

  3. Isn't it odd how lumpy we get as we age? lol I love the twinkle stars! I was wondering if it was big enough to make a table runner? or a topper for an end table? I am making smaller projects from blocks I find that I don't want to make more of. If the blocks are big enough you could make mug rugs out of them and give them as gifts. Just throwing some ideas out there. :-) The OBWs are pretty, but I am stumped for any ideas there. Glad that you are alright. Sara @ ohsirius7@hotmail.com

  4. Hooray for good news from the doctor! Definitely reason to celebrate! I like your blue OBW - kind of reminds me of Picasso's Starry Night. I'll enjoy seeing what you decide to do with it!
