I was feeling guilty about my Start-itis (I wrote about here) and decided I should really finish up a few things, like the Patricia Kaleidoscope I began at the retreat in June. It had been on the design wall so long that parts had fallen on the floor and in my assembly process I had changed my numbering system from blocks to rows. One row was reversed so I turned it around, not realizing that the end pieces were directional. It's still on my wall ... sigh.
Mistakes. Everyone makes the from time to time! Hope Jack (the seam ripper) was up for a little workout, Libby.
ReplyDeleteI feel your frustration - it happens to us all at some point. It's better that you caught it now, before the top is sewn up. And being on an end, it's an easy fix. Lovely soft color palette; that's a really pretty use for that print.
ReplyDeleteThis fabric is so pretty. What is it Libby? I just went and read Startitis...yes so many wonderful quilt alongs and so much beautiful fabric and patterns tempting us. My great grandmother and grandmothers got to use leftovers from clothes and then when catalogues appeared, order from a narrow selection. I guess that simplified the process, LOL.
ReplyDeleteOops! (Go ahead - ask me how many seam rippers I own...)
ReplyDeleteAlways frustrating when you have to undo the stitching.
