Butterflies is (are?) a flimsy/top

With the weather deteriorating by the minute here on the Plateau, I spent a good portion of the day in the sewing room.

Butterflies a/k/a Purple Haze by Villa Rosa Designs
I don't know what it is about this top that makes me smile.  The bright colors?  The quarter triangle squares that look like clown bowties?

This one is not going anywhere.  I have a couple of GSs who could be producing greats in a few years and this one is for them!

The remnants from this one will appear in another quilt that I will work on at the next retreat.

  9. Yes isn't it interesting how deer just stare at you sometimes. I wonder what they are trying to figure out and it worries me that they would trust all who are watching them.
Anyway, these pretty colours are joyful too, Libby. And it looks like a design I might be able to pull off, LOL.

  12. That pattern is adorable, and I love your colorful take on it. I may have to download the pattern because my 3yo granddaughter loves butterflies. I would keep it for the greats too. I'm hoping we see a "great" in the next 5 years or so. :)
