Back from the LAQ

Look what I picked up today!

Safari Animals
From Power Cutting, Too by Debbie Caffrey
The pattern is Robo-Cats, started in a Power Cutting class in 2005.
It hasn't been trimmed yet, so I just draped it over the loveseat to show it off.
It's probably one of the first really scrappy quilts I ever made.

I love the split nine-patch blocks.

I also love the mix of animals in the border.

Can you see the lime green dragonflies in the panto quilting?

I thought this would be a charity quilt, but I'm lovin' it an awful lot ...

Whooping it up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

  2. Great quilt! It reminds me of looking through a window at a flower garden and the animals. So fun and happy!

  3. How cheerful! I like the double sashing. (I have been looking at Judy Hooworth's Razzle-Dazzle Quilts book -- she advocates double sashing.)

  6. If only your border fabric had monkeys, it would be perfect... 8)

  9. I like those split nine patch blocks, too! I love the contrast in yours between the brights and the low volumes. The border fabric is so much fun! Great quilt, Libby!
