Scrap Happy Saturday

on Sunday

I was so busy in the sewing room yesterday, I forgot to post and link up at soscrappy.  That's the place to check in on Rainbow Scrap Challenge progress around Blogland.

The color for May is ORANGE!  I took advantage of a slow week to make blocks for my two remaining RSC projects for 2019.

I'm thinking I need another RSC project to help move out more scraps.  Any suggestions?

  1. I started with one quilt and quickly made that 2 - I think I better stay there for now but if I did another I would just find a block I like and start another one block quilt

  2. Love those Chandelier Beads! I have tons of RSC projects happening. I am a big Bonnie Hunter fan. If you have any of her books (or can borrow them free from the library there is a lot of eye candy and great scrap projects there.) She also has a lot of free patterns on her site in the Free Patterns Tab. Here's a link:

  3. Oh, just visit Cathy at Sane, Crazy, Crumby - that always works for me!
(I just had to buy more project boxes...)

  4. I agree with Gayle about getting scrappy inspiration from Cathy L.! As you know, I'm making pinwheels for RSC this year. I don't have any one design in mind -- rather, they'll be useful units.

  5. P.S. Block Lotto monthly designs can be great for RSC, too.

  7. The chandelier blocks look awesome. I'm going to have to add that project to my future RSC project list. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your next project.

  8. Like your other readers said, I'm thinking of doing the chandelier blocks next time. They are so pretty, and look nice and easy. This is my first year doing the RSC and I'm really enjoying it. Still need to sew my orange blocks this week I hope.

  9. I keep an ongoing list of blocks I want to do for RSC. Although I start most of them at the beginning of the year, I always seem to start at least 2-3 new ones during the year as one quilt’s blocks finish up and I need to move more scraps out. The chandelier block is on my list, too, for RSC2020.
