Wildlife Wednesday

I've enjoyed seeing everyone's garden photos, so thought I'd give you a tour of mine.  Mr. Mallard came for a visit today.

I think he wanted to see the gardens, too. First, rhododendron by the lake.

Then multi-color Knockout rose.

Enormous blooms from the peonies.  We have a deep red blooming in the secret garden, too.

And my veggies on the deck.  Four tomatoes, two peppers, and two basil, plus some marigolds.

  1. don't you just love peonies - I have to pull my bush and get a new one or two it hasn't grown well for years and past couple years barely grown even after re-planting

    1. Peonies don't like to be moved....give it another year or two you may find it recovers and blooms better.

  3. Pretty blooms, Libby! Looks like your veggie garden is happy, too. We've had some mallards visiting our yard, too, but there's no lake nearby. I think they're confused!

  4. Your gardens are looking lush and healthy! I hope you get lots of good veggies. My peonies are blooming too, but they don't get enough sun so I only get a couple blossoms per bush. Yours look so pretty!

  6. Oh those peonies! Be still my heart! And I love your little vegetable garden. This is the second year you’ve done this raised bed, isn’t it? (Making a mental note for when we downsize).

  7. Ok I can see it a little better. Is there extra support under the deck?
