Another Baby Quilt
Still cleaning, I keep coming up with interesting opportunities. This one started as a class sample when I was teaching a 3-D waffle technique. The interesting part of this particular example is it started with 6-inch charm squares that were exchanged in an early guild.
All I had to do today was add borders to make it at least 36", cut a back, and make a binding.
The rest of the day was devoted to organizing potential projects for the retreat.
Wow! You really picked fabrics that show off the depth of this design. No wonder you were teaching the class! It's a great finish. Have fun deciding on retreat projects!
That is neat, Libby! I clicked on your photo to enlarge it, and finally see how you make that kind of block - so interesting. Hope you're having fun on your retreat!
Comments make me smile; I would love to hear from you! I respond almost exclusively by email, so be sure you are not a "no-reply" blogger. Or include your email address if you need an answer to a question.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this, Libby!! Never stepped far enough outside my comfort zone to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteSo dimensional! A great use for a class sample; someone will love it.
ReplyDelete3D waffles? I'm intrigued. The sharp contrast in tone makes this look particularly Escher-esque.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your tumbling blocks!
